Call to Order: 6:45 pm. Members: Ava Tvedten, Ashley Ruby, Crystal Hollman, Jen Duderstad, Lynn Albrecht

Director's Report:

● Potential miss applied funds by previous president discussed with David Frundt. There are 3 pages of questions. Asking that City police chief Tom Fletcher, County attorney David Frundt, ask Michael Gormiley
● Debby Johnson Reached out to Jane Sybrandt about the wrong doings of the human society.
● Jane Sybrandt has filed a Harrassment restraining order hearing June 21st. David frundt has asked that we do not contact Debby
● Motion to approve Debby Johnson Meeting that is open to the public:

Grooming:

● At this time we do not have potentials, Both have declined at this time
● Looking at having a volunteer or board member get a decree for grooming.

Election of Officer to fill Jane's Secretary position. Also Vice President Open Nomination of VP:

Old Business:

● Update on 501(c) 3 status
○ Received letter from IRS
● By - Laws signature page by Board Members.
● Signatures of Board Members on Thank you letter over value of $250.
○ Will need to redo to remove Jane and add new Board members.
● Creation of Vision Statement for New Chances:
● Our Vision:
● To be the regional leader in animal adoption; spray and neuter outreach and programs, community outreach concerning animal welfare to ultimately create a No Kill Community where all animals have a loving home, free of abuse and neglect.
○ Need to update vision statement
● Allocations of Donations and Memorials that have not been honored:
○ Only One Left.
● Conflict of Interest and Statement of Ethics forms from Board Members:
○ Requesting that they be signed and returned tonight.
● Board of Directors information Sheet:
○ Will be updated with new positions and added board members.
● Board vote to approve Outdoor Shed cost via email verified to $6,000 instead of the approved $4,000 amount.
○ County inspector Jamie Holland came out and did inspection for salon and stated that the city did offer a shed at no cost. He will present this at the next city council meeting.
● Compensation for Kevin Albecht:
○ Lynn removing herself from this topic due to conflict of interest.
○ Rediscussion of compensation.
○ 180 hours have been turned in.
$19.25 x 180= $3465
Previously discussed $42x180=$7560.00
$42 an hour is based on a world wide average
○ Looking at doing $20.00 per hour for 180 hours for a total $3600.00 to be paid directly to Kevin Albrect>

New Business:

● BEA High School National Honor Society Advisor - Julie Ackerman - to inform her NHS students about volunteer hours available here if they chose for their needed volunteer hours requirement as a member of the NHS.
● Open House Evaluation from Fundraising Committee.
○ Thought we did pretty good.
○ Online auction not as successful as what potentially in person could be.
● Sewer Needs in Duchess's Salon:
○ County inspector suggested a sump pump.
○ Looking at a grinding sump pump.
○ Lynn finding quotes and opening bids up on social media.
○ Will need a concrete quote-Ava is working on.
○ Make sign to REMOVE ALL Foreign objects before rinsing out of kennels.
○ Looking for a chair for the duchess salon.
● EDA cost estimate for 2 rectangle signs for City Of Blue Earth Industrial Park - $1,020.87.
○ Tabling at this time.
● Purchases Completed:
○ 1 - First Aid wall mount kits (paid)
○ 1 - Bulletin Board - Felt gray (paid)
○ 50 - Black plastic 2 pocket folders for adoptions (paid)
○ 4 - Ketch All Catch poles (paid)
○ 2 - Kane Sorting Panels ( 30" by 36" ) (paid)
○ 2 -Animal Handling Glove sets (paid)
○ Clear Donation Boxes - 24 more (paid)
○ Dust filters - 3 month supply (paid)

● Other:
○ ADA grant need to wait until we get info from IRS.
○ Ideas for Programs/ Grants / Fundraising.
○ ADA Grant for bathroom renovations.
